Associate Software Engineer
Current* Software Verification and Developer for Operational Flight Program(OFP) ● Main Software Verification Developer for the C130J CMDU-19 since March 2023 for the DAL-A side of the OFP, written in C, and have boarded several software engineers onto the project and have communicated issues found during verification to the software developers on the project through Problem Reports (PR). ● Responsible for bringing legacy testing up-to-date and for the automation of said testing using python scripts to check for the correct MIL-STD-1553 status messages and pixel comparisons of the image for the correct symbology or response. ● Responsible for the development of the Verification Build of the OFP to facilitate Built-in-Testing(BIT) verification and to grab the frame buffer from the OFP. ● Responsible for maintaining the MIL-STD-1553 Simulator for the CMDU-19. This involved reverse engineering the old scripts and software due to lack of documentation, and creating bug fixes and documentation for the existing scripts and software. ● Main Software Verification Developer for the DAL-E side of the OFP, the Video Manager Application (VMA). The VMA manipulated DVI and NTSC video received by an FPGA using OpenGL and Vulkan to send the new video out through the GPU and a copy of the Frame Buffer back to the FPGA. ● Assisted with the DevOps of the program using Jenkins Pipeline for Nightly Builds. * Software Verification for DO-178 Boot Loader and Hardware Abstraction Layer(HAL) ● Developed and documented high-level testing(HLTs) and low-level testing(LLTs) to DO178C Standards for an IRAD Boot Loader and HAL for an NXP IMX8QuadMax Processor. ● Testing involved creating HLTs and LLTs in C for HAL libraries for each system and for the creation of HLTs and LLTs for the Board Support Packages provided by GreenHills Software. ● Mentored incoming software engineers to the project on the tools for LLTs and how to write them using LDRA.
