These servers ran a variety of applications including Netscape Enterprise server/Iplanet Webserver 3.51,4.0 and 4.1, Jrun 2.2 and 3.0, Solstice backup, Documentum Webpublisher Version 4 and eContent Server and ATG dynamo Application server with adverts served by Engage Admanager 5. All run with Oracle Database version 7.34 to 8i. Also administered were two NT servers running Real Server for audio and video streaming and Microsoft Site Server v3 for the Site Analysis module, this was used along with custom written perl scripting to produce daily, weekly and monthly site statistics. Also helped with role out of new Win2k and Office 2000 standard Desktop.

Also administering 8 NT4 servers running as a separate domain within the BBC. These servers run as file and print servers and also run NeXT WebObject Builder software, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL Server 6.5. The separate web servers run Microsoft IIS 4 and Microsoft SQL 6.5 on top of NT Server 4, these are all remotely administered from Television Centre. Also administered are three Unix systems, one is Linux for Bootp and network monitoring, the others are Sun Enterprise Server 3000 running Solaris 2.6 and Netgen log analysis software for the daily web hits analysis and Sun Enterprise Server 4500 as a web server.

I was also involved in two major unemployment programs for Hertfordshire, mapping long-term and youth unemployment rates in a new GIS package ARCview v2. Thus allowing the allocation of the funds down to a Ward level within troubled areas.I was responsible for the checking and returning of the 1993 Census of Employment for Hertfordshire, (an employment Department survey of firms employing over 100 employees and a sample below that figure). This is very important as a base for future research.
