For 2 months this summer, I had the great opportunity of working with the fantastic team at Gruyère Space Program.From C++ programming, data analysis, hot fire testing of a 1kN rocket engine to many successful flights of the first student rocket hopper in Europe, this internship was filled with both discoveries and opportunities to apply in practice my knowledge on arguably the coolest hardware a student team in Europe has access to.One of the best aspects of this experience was the opportunity to acquire hands-on knowledge in fluid and pressure systems, programming, procedures/operations, data analysis. Through many conversations with the team, I also learned many things about PCB design, electronics, data acquisition, communication protocols and especially control theory and flight simulation using MATLAB/Simulink.Working in a team of exceptionally talented people like the ones at GSP, that have great multidisciplinary knowledge on a vast number of engineering topics as well as a burning passion for space was incredibly rich and a real pleasure.
