In my final year completing my Honours Bachelor of Business Administration at Wilfrid Laurier University, I developed a unique business concept for a full service music facility. Maxwell's Music House opened its doors in May 2008 combining my passions of music and business under one roof. Maxwell's Music House offered a wide variety of services including music lessons, a rockstar summer camp, a live concert venue, a special needs music education program, management services and more. Maxwell's Music House hosted over 1800 concerts and events, provided musical education to over 400 students and won a variety of business and arts awards. In 2013 I began to put together plans to open a new facility in Waterloo. After over 2 years of planning and process, Maxwell's Concerts & Events celebrated its Grand Opening on December 12th, 2014.Maxwell's Concerts & Events is a 737 capacity licensed concert and event facility located in the heart of Waterloo at 35 University Avenue East. It features 2 separate stages and respective sound systems, 2 beautiful bars, parking for over 250 cars on-site and 3 different room configurations to host events of different sizes ranging from 100 guests to over 700 guests.Since 2014, the new Maxwell's location has hosted close to 2,000 events with many household names in Canada such as JJ Wilde, The Glorious Sons, Sloan, LIGHTS, Dan Mangan, Bif Naked, The Trews, Mother Mother, 54-40, I Mother Earth, Headstones, Monster Truck, July Talk, Rural Alberta Advantage, The Tea Party, Dragonette, Big Sugar, & Keifer Sutherland just to name a few. International acts that have played include Collective Soul, Xavier Rudd, Trooper, The Paper Kites, Dirty Honey, X-Ambassadors, Nick Carter (of The Backstreet Boys), Frank Turner & many others.
