Develops, reviews, and modifies changes to schedule of operations for successful day-to-day operations. Optimizes the functionality and performance of hardware and software systems and ensurers availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of servers. Identifies system problems that are of an unusual or complex nature and develops corrective action. Designs data products, processes, or programs that enhance functional area management and provides for increased organizational optimization of Information Technology (IT) processes. Oversees the installation and configuration of applications software and the establishment of user environments. Participates as a key member and advisor on special committees and special projects designed to study methods to enhance the use of information technology throughout the installation and forward deployed locations, participates in developing strategic plans for enhancement of the system environment, developing functional and technical requirement for acquisitions, conduction cost-benefit analyses, feasibility studies, and related activities. Works with management to isolate and correct complex problems which hinder the capability of the organization to fully utilize information management technology. Analyzes performance data and operation conditions to isolate specific shortfalls and develops innovate methods to overcome system weaknesses.

Provides Automatic Data processing service ranging from end users guidance, assistance, and training to information security; responsible for planning, analyzing, developing, implementing, maintaining and enhancing systems, programs, policies, procedures, and tools in accordance with the National Security Agency (NSA), Department of Defense (DoD) and Naval Information System regulation, to ensure the integrity, reliability, accessibility, and confidentiality of information systems, and providing general customer and network support in the day to day operations of the Naval Ophthalmic Support and Training Activity located at the Naval Weapons Station, Yorktown, VA. Serves as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, and Command Security Manager for the organization.

Hands on experience in planning, implementing, maintaining and supporting information systems with the Windows operating system to include: · Provide and implement recommendations on system changes and operational procedures needed to increase efficiency.· Manage network client accounts to include establishment and disestablishment of systems and mail accounts.· Plan for and accomplish continuity of operations (disaster recovery) to include remote and on-site system backup and restoring damaged/lost files and data.· Administer network security to include system access control, anti-virus protection, and remote system patching and general system maintenance. · Assistance with the development of procedures, processes and policies governing the use of systems and networks
