Responsible for the Operation, maintenance and support for all aspects of the firm’s Global Storage UNIX, and Backup infrastructure and Service line. Managing the Infrastructure and day to day 24/7 support across the global estate of 6 Datacentres, which comprises of 5.8PB of Storage, Oracle Solaris and RedHat Unix Servers and the Commvault Backup / Data Protection platform. • Successfully redesigned the Storage estate and migrated all storage onto a new global unified platform, enabling Data at Rest Encryption, Dedupe and Compression - Reducing the Cost per GB by 55% whilst absorbing 5 years of forecasted growth with an annual saving of ~£550,000 per annum - Improving the Effective Capacity with Deduplication and Compression on Application SSD realising 256TB Capacity savings equating to ~£800,000 of Disk Space• As part of the Storage refresh, there was an opportunity to redesign the firm's Backup Infrastructure, optimising the S/W feature set, along with dedupe and encryption whilst vastly improving the Backup performance. - Backup Time Reduction across all data types >70 % - Exchange DAG Backups on Average reduced from >10 Hours to ~3 Hours - CIFS Full Volume Backups reduced from 26 Hours to 23 Minutes - Dedupe 2.45PB to 192TB on Disk – 92% equating to 13:1 Ratio - Absorbed the Backup redisign and Infrastructure costs as part of the Storage refresh which came in underbudget• Remediated all EOL and Legacy OS's in the Linux estate, creating a consistent build and supported RedHat version. • Mentored both the Onshore and Offshore team members, partnering with the 3rd Party team in creating a Best in Class support group • Developed the 3rd Party Offshore Unix and Backup Level 2 Support team, to take on the Unix Engineering function and recently worked to build their technical skillset with both Internal and External NetApp training to be able to provide Level 2 Support for the Storage Estate.

Acquired additional ownership for Middleware and Database alongside the Global Platforms and Storage Group, managing the Infrastructure and day to day 24/7 support across the global estate with direct leadership of 11 Directs and ~250 Staff in various locations across the Regions.• Creating a new Global Support group from the regional teams, and merging with the Global Platforms and Storage group, establishing and implementing continuous improvement programs utilising six sigma, driving the additional technology groups through the Lean transformation, whilst identifying further efficiencies within the Middleware & Database environments and driving Automation across all of the technology groups.• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders within Technology and the bank to ensure that key initiatives are met.• Established strong vendor relationships and governance for captive and outsourced resources and Managed Services. • Offshoring of multiple core technology support groups to 3rd Party Managed Services.

Forming a new Global Support organisation from numerous regional and technical functions, with the responsibility of providing Senior Leadership for the Wintel, Unix, P Series Frames, SAN & NAS functions, supporting in excess of 43,000 Servers and 120 Petabytes of Storage along with resources located in Strategic Datacenters, COE’s, Sites and Tech Rooms across APAC, EMEA, LATAM, and NAM. The group provides an essential service; design, deployment and day to day support of these Core Infrastructure systems and Data Storage for Business Critical Applications and Services, playing a key role in safeguarding information and ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, whilst acting as an interface between the group and the Business Sector Leads, transitioning their Infrastructure into the core group, providing governance for the day to day service and support of their client infrastructure along with Global support for Core Infrastructure Services within Citi.- Pilot Lead in the Citi Transformation to Lean Six Sigma enterprise, taking on a key role in the discovery, design and implementation phases for the pilot transformation within Citi. Successfully fused multiple technical disciplines to form an efficient and client centric Global support group- Created and executed a proactive approach to managing support services provided to clients, restructuring support groups with a focus on being proactive, efficient and consistent with service execution.- Driven the new group very effectively through an extremely challenging organisational transformation and delivered clear and demonstrable benefits along the way- Absorbed a 300% growth in supported Servers whilst driving SLA’s >99% with a 68% improvement to MTTR - Driven Storage SLA’s from 59% to 99% with 96% improvement to MTTR- Successfully transformed and onboarded L2 Server Support for 3 of the 4 Business Sectors within Citi, with vast improvements to support and quality immediately realised

As the Global NAS Product owner, responsible for the design, implementation and operational support of all the NAS infrastructure within Citi, across 30 countries and 112 sites around the globe, owning approx 775 NAS Devices / 27.4PB of Storage, and serving in excess of 200,000 users along with VMWare (VSI & VDI), and Application data. Also responsible for forming and developing a strategy to consolidate and globalize the NAS Operations, Infrastructure and Integration group functions and from January 2011, initiated the implementation of a global operating model, globalizing all NAS resources to capture scale and efficiency whist driving consistency through common builds, tools and processes, whilst centralizing the support function into 5 locations. Overall responsibilities also include Budgets and People Management across multi-regions, Financial Planning and Strategy. In June 2012, Gartner’s analysis on Storage Benchmarking, reported the NAS environment within Citi to be Better than “Best in Class” when comparing against our peer Financial Institutions, relative to business Net Revenue and Operating Expense.
