I carry out both pre-planned and incognito mystery shop quality assessments, give verbal feedback and produce written advisory reports. This often extends beyond quality advice and in a client executive approach, I provide advice on a wide range of business and tourism areas. I also encourage our industry partners to provide a quality accommodation and visitor experience to increase Northern Ireland’s competitiveness as a destination. Working in the Product Development Team, I supported the development of the golf tourism product. We focused on building and developing marketable products and packages. We launched the first Golf Tourism Quality Assurance Scheme, jointly with Failte Ireland. This also involved organising a Northern Ireland trade stand at the Irish Open in Royal Portrush 2012 and in subsequent years in at Carton House 2013 and Fota Island 2014.

This programme of events was designed to change global perceptions of Northern Ireland, raise our profile as a must-see destination, drive visitor numbers, generate economic impact and underpin civic pride. I work as a casual Blue Badge Tour Guide in Northern Ireland. Recent assignments include, working as a local-specialist Guide for Trafalgar and Go Ahead Tours. I also work for Excursions Ireland providing a range of tours across NI for Cruise Ship passengers docking in Belfast.

I worked as a Tour Guide and Guide Assessor for Belfast City Sightseeing. Qualified in Levels 1 to 3 Tourist Guiding, I delivered open top bus tours of Belfast City. I also obtained the Level 3 Assessor Award ( D32/D33/A1) which qualified me to assess trainee Tour Guides in their place of work.
