Paul is a Manchester born Trumpet player, and a graduate of the Royal College of Music. He is currently a member of the Syd Lawrence Orchestra and has performed with the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, Hallé Orchestra, the Philharmonia and Pete Long’s Echoes of Ellington band. Growing up in Bury, Lancashire, Paul started his musical training in his local brass band, before going on to be a member of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain. Before studying at the Royal College of Music, he studied at Chetham’s School of Music, in Manchester. Paul has performed as a soloist on BBC Radio 2, as part of the BBC Radio 2 Brass Soloist of the year competition, as well as performing as a soloist at the Gower Music Festival. As an educator, Paul currently has the brass teacher positions at Christs School, Thomson House School and Falcons Boys Pre-Preparatory School, as well as teaching privately throughout London.
