I have been a member of the faculty in the School of Economics at Nottingham since 1992 and my current position is Professor of Monetary Economics and Director of the Centre for Finance and Credit Markets. I have published 7 books and more than 100 articles on various aspects of economics. Current projects include the ESRC funded Decision Maker Panel and the Management and Expectations Survey. My work has been translated into Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Spanish. I have acted as an adviser to many central banks in Asia, Europe and the Caribbean. I am ranked in the top 5% of economists in Europe by IDEAS. I ham Chair of the Money, Macro and Finance Society. Fellow of the Office for National Statistics, the Economics Statistics Centre of Excellence, the Royal Society of Arts and the Academy of Social Sciences.
