Appointed to lead the day to day operations service performance along with the design and implementation of the network integration programme to leverage the available cost synergies over a 3 year period.The annual budget was c£500 million employing 7,500 colleagues handling c200 million parcels across two networks with 110 service centres, 5 sortation centres and 5 transport sites.

Joined the privately owned and largest UK B2C home delivery business taking responsibility for the Operations & Customer Experience strategy in the drive to turnaround and commercialise HDNL. Service excellence was placed at the heart of the business with major transformational change required to reduce the fixed cost base and produce the lowest cost to serve whilst updating the customer proposition in preparation for the exponential growth in online shopping. The annual budget was c£300 million, employing 4,500 colleagues handling c100m parcels for over 130 major retailers consisting of Shop Direct, Marks & Spencer, Argos, Amazon, Tesco, Asda, J Sainsbury, John Lewis and Direct Wines. Achieved double digit % reduction in operating costs in Years 1&2.
