I have been running my practice for 24 years, and worked in hospitals and other private practices for six years prior to this. I have completed a degree in physiotherapy, and two post graduate diplomas - in Sport & in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. As a Sports Physio I have worked with Rugby Union, Rugby League, and currently with Briars Hockey Club & Concord Burwood Rugby League Club. In my practice the most common injury I treat is low back pain - where my focus is on identifying the causes and training may patients how to prevent rather than just treat pain. My techniques have been developed over 30 years, and I am seeing more & more of the people who have tried & failed with other treatments. I also have a special interest in patellofemoral instability, and am currently undertaking research into this poorly treated condition.I read extensively to keep abreast of the latest practices and research. I also enjoy writing, and place regular information newsletters on my website. I educate the local GP's in physiotherapy & general musculoskeletal conditions, and provide pamphlets & newsletters for my patients.I enjoy sport, both as a spectator & participant. My passion is Rugby League, and I am a ticketed member of St George Illawarra, who I have supported for over 40 years. My main sports have been rugby, hockey, kayaking and skiing, and I enjoy jogging & keeping fit. Apart from family, my other interests are writing, woodworking, camping, and guitar.

Consultant PhysiotherapistProductivity Bootcamp Mar 2015 - PresentConsultant to trainees within the construction industry. My role requires me to lecture and give advice to employees and employers regarding back care, injury prevention, ergonomics, biomechanics, and workplace practices. Productivity Bootcamp is an excellent initiative created by Paul Breen, former director of a major construction company. It operates to provide training to unskilled workers, to give them the skills and safety know-how required to work in this hazardous industry. A lot of the training methods are unique, and the scheme provides a service which has not previously been available in this industry. Importantly, it gives opportunities to young and unemployed individuals.
