EXPERIENCES1.Mwanza Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (MWAUWASA) Position: Water quality laboratory Artisan Period: From 22 January 2024 up to NowMain task performed.-Conducting jar test experiment to obtain the optimal dosage for treating water. -Preparation of chemicals.-Dosing water with chemicals and to ensue all wastes are removed. -Ensure the right optimal dose is used based on raw water flow.-Calculating pump setting and flow of dose to be added to the raw water. -Treating raw water from source by following the good series of treatment procedures and to ensue water is clean and safe for use.-Collected water samples from different sources and performed physical, chemical, and microbiological tests.-Calibration of instruments.-Prepared and maintained laboratory equipment, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning properly.-Conducted water quality testing and analysis using various laboratory techniques and equipment.-Implemented quality control measures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.-Analysed test results, interpreted data, and prepared accurate reports for further evaluation.-Sludge treatment 2. Mwanza Zonal Water Quality Laboratory (LVBWB) [18/08/2022-01/11/2022] Practical Training(field)- Conducted water quality testing and analysis using various laboratory techniques and equipment.- Collected water samples from different sources and performed physical, chemical, and microbiological tests.- Prepared and maintained laboratory equipment, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning properly.- Analyzed test results, interpreted data, and prepared accurate reports for further evaluation.- Collaborated with a team of professionals to ensure compliance with water quality standards and regulations.- Implemented quality control measures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.- Participated in research projects and assisted in the development of new testing methods and protocols.- Prepared reagents and samples for testing and maintained accurate records of all laboratory activities.- Provided support in the preparation of reports and presentations.
