Additionally I work collaboratively with the Squash New Zealand Chair to align strategy and structures with the National Strategy. -

This was achieved during a period of high trade growth.β’ Developed and implemented a strategy to change how LPC handled and stacked containers in the Terminal resulting in a greatly increased Terminal capacity. β’ Managed LPCβs CEA strategy, and established strong relationships with the Unions and the core workforce in what was a traditionally a tumultuous and challenging environment. -

This was from an initial period of strong opposition to my appoint as the inaugural βnon-Correctionsβ Regional Manager. β’ Established the first Youth Units in prisons across NZ and led the development of policies and systems to manage these difficult prisons safely and with a focus on rehabilitation. -
General Manager Christchurch Hospital And Clinical Support ServicesCanterbury District Health Board (Cdhb) 1992 - 1996Christchurchβ’ Responsibility for Christchurch Hospital and Clinical Support Services across the region.β’ Was appointed the first ever non-medical GM of the Hospital. β’ Led the transition of Christchurch Hospital into the new Parkside block and decommissioned all old wards without undue risk or any disruption to essential services. β’ Established Canterbury Health Laboratories as a fully commercial organisation which still operates highly successfully today. This was a major transformation and required a complete culture transformation.
