Directors Box is a completely free football app for supporters, aimed at giving football fans a voice with core features being the polls and petitions, but also engaging features including quizzes, banter boards, live chat, auctions, original news features and support for grassroots football clubs etc. Points are earned by users the more they engage, and these points can be used to bid in the auctions for sporting memorabilia.I was behind the original conceptual idea and have built the platform from scratch. My core focus has been to define the full requirements of this innovative app and in particular the processes around the unique features. In addition, running workshops with active users to capture the features they would find engaging was essential, as initially we were successfully obtaining new sign-ups, but struggling to retain their daily login and engagement. However, these workshops and feedback have allowed us to improve the platform which now encourages a much higher % of daily return visitors. Working with and managing the technical team including remote designers, front/backend developers and marketing to ensure a quality platform is delivered efficiently and within budget. On going management of the project is necessary as the platform continues to evolve. This includes analysing user activity to ensure that platform continues to grow with daily repeat visitors from the user base, scoping new features, and planning the roadmap as well as achieving the planned production deployment dates.

As CTO at 21e6, my responsibility is overseeing the technical direction of the business. 21e6 offers development of Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 solutions, but primarily the latter. As Web 3.0 is still in theory still in its infancy, and continually evolving, a key part of my role is to review new blockchain protocols and technology advances to ensure we can be ahead of the competitors. 2024 for example have seen the introduction of Snaps within MetaMask, already as a company we are developing Snaps, way ahead of our competitors, but because we see this as a major advance in Blockchain technology.We have many projects running in Parallel, so I was responsible for finding and creating a technical project team for each project, using a mixture of full time technical resources within the company and my freelance networks when needed. Being based in Gibraltar, which was one of the first jurisdictions in the world to be regulated, this was an exciting time to be able to assist a number of business to understand, select and implement the most appropriate Blockchain solution.With our indepth development and Blockchain knowledge, Acorex was successful in winning a number of projects which needed to be delivered typically in short times scales.My core role was to define an a clear and concise scope for the project by working with Acorex’s development and design teams and suggest an acceptable MVP. Solutions were web, Android and iOS and underlying infrastructure included Azure and AWS, with a variety of technologies such as .Net and SQL Server.Due to the number of on-going Blockchain projects, I was also instrumental in creating several satellite design and development teams in UK, Gibraltar and Spain on a freelance basis to work on these projects, this was a key component for the success of the projects, as needed to ensure the teams built were technically and creatively capable and also worked well together, and had the commitment to work additional hours if necessary to ensure the projects were delivered on time.Based on the project requirements, a key decision I had to make was the most suited Blockchain platform and as many of these Blockchain platforms were in their infancy, another role was to perform research and extensive tests to ensure suitability. Depending on my recommendations, this would be the solution proposed to the client.With the importance of data security and GDPR, I also oversaw this element of the project to ensure a secure, resilient and compliant solution, working with partners that offered advanced penetration testing services. My knowledge of GDPR was long before the May 2018 date, I ensured we future proofed all our Blockchain solutions and were fully GDPR compliant.
