Senior Authorised Electrical Person on the Auk Alpha platform in the North Sea. I provided 14 day / 24-hour on-call maintenance support and was tasked with all aspects of electrical plant maintenance. Charged with both reactive and preventative maintenance planning across a range of process equipment to ensure that the machinery is fit for purpose and available as required. Coordinated the successful installation of apparatus in hazardous areas using the permit to work system (SSOW) to prevent any unnecessary conflict or unsafe operations. Carried out regular inspections and dealt with all identified faults. Conducted periodic testing of electrical equipment, including HV/LV equipment, generation, transformers and distribution boards, trace heating, domestic appliances, HVAC, MOVs and motors to ensure the technical integrity of the facility and maintain accurate records accordingly. Conveyed knowledge of all health and safety regulations appropriate to working onshore and offshore, promoted safety and environmental procedures to ensure personal safety, the safety of personnel, and the general safety of the process plant and environment.

Performed routine electrical maintenance at Shell Gas plants; Corrib, and Mossmorran. Planned and carried out electrical tasks on various high and low voltage equipment. Worked closely with all disciplines to install, inspect, fault find and maintain a range of electrical systems and apparatus.
