Paul was admitted as a solicitor in Queensland 1997 after completing articles of clerkship. He practised as an in-house solicitor in London and Hong Kong from 1998 to 2011 and was general counsel for the Standard Bank Group in Asia. He was admitted as a solicitor in England in 2001. He returned home to Australia in 2012 and was called to the bar in Queensland in early 2012. Paul advises on and appears for clients across a wide range of commercial disputes including debt collection, insolvency and bankruptcy, property disputes, consumer law, contractual disputes and professional negligence. Paul has advised on substantial disputes in the Australian, English and Hong Kong courts. He has advised on a wide range of banking regulations across Asia/Pacific and gained substantial transaction and financial products experience. He has worked on fraud investigations and has liaised with police and regulatory authorities across Asia including China. He has conducted training sessions and conference seminars for various firms in Asia and Australia.
