My primary responsibility is to support the Strengthening the TB/HIV/AIDS Responses in South Western Uganda (STAR-SW) project in developing and disseminating appropriate, effective and targeted messages with an aim of increasing awareness and demand for quality comprehensive HIV/AIDS and TB services in the project area (13 districts)

I was responsible for managing various accounts including; AFFORD Project;Development and implementation of strategies for behavioral change communication, events management, experiential marketing, and promotion of all the Afford products in four intervention areas including HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Child Health and Family Planning. Products included; Protector condoms, Pilplan, Newfem, Softsure, Aquasafe, Moon beads, Condom O, Mosquito nets, Cotramox and Clovirex. The social communication involved extensive community mobilization and sensitization through various community activations including; bar promotions, facility based activations, video hall activities, Market Impact Teams, road shows, men only seminars, women groups, door to door sensitization, extensive merchandising, sampling and distribution.Responsible for recruiting, training and supervising the field teams and had over 60 field staff under my supervision. Responsible for conducting market research. Health Initiatives for the Private Sector (HIPS) Project; Responsible for organizing health fairs (4 tent model) which involved behavioral change communication in four intervention areas including family planning, malaria, HIV and child health. This was done for various private sector companies (HIPS’ partners) and their communities. Also responsible for events management including awards and National health events on behalf of HIPS; over 20 health fairs and events. Communication for Development Foundation Uganda (CDFU); Responsible for Popular Opinion Leaders Certifications and community road show events around Uganda; 30 road shows country wide. Young Empowered and Healthy (YEAH); involved in the execution of the experiential component of the “True Manhood Campaign” regional launches in Uganda. Uganda Telecom Limited; Developing and executing the “Jazz My Life” promotion concept that helped UTL fortify its brand in various local Universities.

Involved with social research to help in the development and pretesting of communication strategies and materials including the National Policy and Strategy for Orphans and Vulnerable Children, newsletters, brochures, detailing aids, posters, bill boards Television and radio spots.
