Corporate Credit Risk Analyst
My role is to undertake credit risk assessments of prospective and existing corporate customers to determine an appropriate credit facility. The role also includes monitoring of sales activity and credit risk profiles to identify specific increases in credit risk.• Assessing credit status of prospective customers via information from Sales, Credit agencies and from online credit data sources and assigning appropriate credit limits.• Make recommendations to senior management for major credit exposures.• Carry out quarterly proactive bulk credit reviews for low risk and strategic customers to ensure resource is more efficiently routed towards higher risk customers.• Also carry out annual and Ad hoc credit reviews by evaluating internal and external data including company accounts, and make recommendations for existing as well as new customers.• Review and credit check all novation/company transfer requests and once the agreements are signed ensure master data records are correctly updated.• Request securities where required following a customer review and validate security documentation to protect the Company from unacceptable commercial risks.• Manage potential increase in trading exposure from incremental customer orders to ensure that it remains within acceptable risk parameters.• Monitor the customer base to identify potential increases in credit risk and to identify trading beyond credit limits. Produce regular reports highlighting to senior management any significant changes in credit risk.• Updating and maintaining Customer Master Database to ensure we were trading with the correct legal entity and trading style.• Managing all credit risk related activity around EMEA prepayment customers.• Monthly reporting on all payment plans for all lines of business and troubleshoot any that are overdue.
