Key Responsibilities:- Creating and managing construction programme from inception to completion;- Management of construction projects throughout programme lifecycle;- Reviewing structural and architectural plans to direct Site Manager for onsite requirements;- Management and liaison with Site Manager and contractors during construction;- Key strategic adviser with clients to meet their expectations and identify their requirements;- Liaising directly with, but not limited to, consultants, architects, engineers and certifiers;- Organising and obtaining documents for both construction certificates and occupation certificates;- Organising required permits through relevant Councils;- Approving quotes and issuing contracts with trades ensuring scope of works are within the budget parameters;- Organising material deliveries and purchase orders with suppliers;- Approval of all contract and supplier invoices;- Ensuring all projects comply with the relevant industry WH&S guidelines; and- Proficient in MS word, MS Excel, Jobpac and Buildxact software programming.Key Achievements:- Developed strong working relationships with key stakeholders, clients, suppliers and contractors of all levels;- Ability to deliver projects on time or ahead of time and within budget;- Successfully managing project budgets from $500,000 to $1,300,000 and succeeded in budget cost savings wherever possible;- Recently completed a Class 2 development with disability requirements;- Implementing WH&S Risk Management set up and documents for all work sites;- Mentored and developed permanent staff members to progress in their career, for example: Leading Hand to Site Manager and Site Manager to Junior Project Manager; and- Planned, managed and organised over 15 construction projects.

Initially I was employed as an apprentice carpenter, however soon after finishing my apprenticeship in carpentry I was promoted to the position of Leading Hand.
