As an EPS IV in the Next Gen Reporting Section, I have continued my query and report writing work for the Wastewater Sections of WQD. Creating various complicated queries and reports that have helped managers see how efficient their employees are, and have helped permit writers discover their own errors before they submit a permit to their managers. It is through a self governing principal of efficiency that my queries and reports have worked to lighten the load of the administrative staff, permit writers, and managers and have worked to lowered the errors for each permit so that we can flow the correct data to ICIS and thus lowering our errors with the EPA as well. I am currently in the process of upgrading the Bypass database and form so that it is compliant with ICIS. With my tendency toward a LEAN process, I am working on streamlining the Fee process to make it more efficient and to minimize any errors. Since becoming an EPS IV, I have also been working more independently without much supervision and without a drop in my performance. I have also taken an informal role of FME lead, helping my fellow section employees in understanding and using FME. I also help with SQL writing when needed. I am still working as the AV person for WQD, WQMAC, and sometimes for the EQB. Through the AV workgroup, we are currently working on updating the MPR room to allow for Hybrid meetings.

I am currently working at the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality. About a year after I started in the Water Quality Division (WQD), I accepted a Data Management Position in the Next Gen Reporting section. Since starting in this position, I have gained 3 years of experience with MS Access and 1 year of experience using FME (a more inclusive data base tool). I also headed up the Electronic Reporting of Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs) for the state. This required me to create the materials for classes that I would teach people around the state how to electronically submit DMRs. I also used, and continue to use, FME to track the data flow of DMRs from each Facility to the EPA. This was all under the Wastewater part of WQD. I also do data management and report creation for the Public Water Supply (PWS) part of WQD. Under this roll of my Next Gen job, I work with PWS personnel to create, maintain, and update databases through MS Access. As a whole, this position has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and great chance to broaden my understanding of Database Management, and its tools.

My position is within the Water Quality Division and Operator Certification Section. I currently work on the maintenance of 2 databases: FileMaker, and LXR. FileMaker is a database program we use to house the license, exam, renewal training, payments, and renewal notificaitons information for each Water and Wastewater Operator, as well as the Training Classes we offer for said Operators. I also work on the online renewal process jointly with Oklahoma Interactive (a state agency that deals with all the online processes for the State of Oklahoma's government agencies). Additionally, I review exam applications for the section and either approve or deny the applications based on Oklahoma regulations Title 252. DEQ Chapter 710. "Waterworks and Wastewater Works Operator Certification". I also review Reciprocity applications for operators that move to Oklahoma from another state.

As an Auto Claims Adjuster, I worked in the Totat Loss Department of Farmer's Insurance. I helped insureds and claimants be properly reimbursed for the damages incurred by an accident. It was my job to make sure that we stood by our policies while assisting our customers with their total loss claim. To accomplish this task, I needed to have great attention to detail, along with an extensive knowledge of our auto insurance policies and State and Federal guidelines to which I was licensed.
