I'm a recently retired First Grade Detective/Bomb Technician and an Explosive Detection Canine Handler for the NYPD. Most recently I have been certified by the FBI as a Tactical Bomb Technician and through ERDI a certified Explosives Search and Recovery Diver as well as an Underwater Explosive Recovery Specialist. I investigate suspicious packages, conduct security sweeps for local and foreign Dignitaries and Liaison between civilians and members of law enforcement. I dispose of explosives and fireworks found or seized, render safe Improvised Explosive Devices, maintain equipment, conduct and attend training and I'm designated as one of the team leaders in the squad. Prior to being assigned to the Bomb Squad I was assigned to the Emergency Services Unit which I performed duties as a Dive master, Counter Sniper, Emergency Medical Technician, Haz-Mat technician, SWAT and Heavy Rescue Specialist. Prior to the Emergency Services Unit I was on Patrol assigned to the 75 and 68 Precincts.
