Senior Designer
Current• Tasked with developing customer designs from supplied documentation for quoting and production• Work with clients to gather requirements to create custom technology solutions• Lead design team efforts to maintain efficient workfl¬ow and adhere to production schedules• Train new design staff on all the techniques and industry specific software requirements• Maintain working relationships with outside suppliers and vendors• Visit customer operations to initiate and refine designs of products for fabrication consideration• Conceptualize, design, fabricate, and assemble custom tooling to complete advanced production of seemingly impossible projects, earning the company a reputation for the ability to solve problem others can’t• Received training in specific equipment operation and vendor proprietary control software packages • Understand and troubleshoot CNC machine code to improve production processes• Lead designer responsible for successfully solving the problem of making extremely low quantity parts that had complex 3D forms at minimal cost, for a DOE nuclear site project• Technology: AutoCAD R12-R14, CADKEY, SolidWorks 2005-2018, MS Office Suite, Trumpf CNC Software Suite, Amada CNC Software, Illustrator, Photoshop
