• The IRSSS is an Indigenous led organization with Indigenous staff supporting Indigenous communities.• The IRSSS provides cultural, emotional and spiritual support by highly skilled and experienced staff, Elders and Sacred Knowledge Keepers to individuals, families and communities as survivors and intergenerational survivors of residential schools; survivors of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG); survivors of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Men and Boys; and survivors of Indian Day Schools and more. The IRSSS provides culturally based support to communities, and cultural health and healing to youth impacted by the over-representation of Indigenous people in the criminal justice system. Atira Women's Resource Society works to serve and protect women, children and gender diverse people with housing and other supports.Annual combined budget is $100 million with over 1,500 staff.Brought on as part of interim leadership.Key recommendations:Identified financial and operational issues and recommended improvements.Worked with government agency and key funder to improve transparency.Reviewed individual programs, recommending improvements so they would operate fully funded, or cease.Reviewed individual assets for overall benefit, including recommending which unused and underused assets to sell.

• Cool Aid provides shelters, housing, meals, health care and other supports to adults experiencing marginalization in Greater Victoria. Over one-quarter of clients identify as Indigenous.Highlights:• Improved staff cross-training and knowledge sharing to ensure staff continuity;• In March 2020, provided staff with skills, software and equipment to operate remotely during potential Covid-19 lockdown; and• Implemented O365, server redundancy to improve functioning, system for daily server backup and requirement for offsite data storage.

• Coast Funds was created in 2007 out of mutual recognition by conservationists, First Nations, industry, and government that a sustainable economy is vital to conservation efforts in the Great Bear Rainforest and Haida Gwaii areas of British ColumbiaHighlights:• Managed treasury function and worked with the investment advisor, investment custodian and investment managers on stewardship of the $100 million portfolio.• Ongoing review of finance and investment policies and guidelines; and• Developed and maintained collaborative relationships with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, First Nations leaders and senior staff, and funders.
