Arcilla Research is a small business / social entrepreneurship which has developed over some thirty years a family of new materials and technologies with properties suited to counter climate change and poverty.Our RUBACON Programme of Sustainable Development – based on utilisation of secondary and renewable resources - includes a group of interrelated projects with the key project, advanced building materials and construction system, at the core. Please take note that the materials are zero carbon and lightweight – gender-sensitive; they may be produced and assembled by women and older children. The construction system is designed to be energy autonomous and stable – providing extremely high resistance to storm and earthquake. Transfer of the Arcilla technology, as described in an implementation Plan for each country, is unique and direct. It is aimed first and foremost at the needs of the people, particularly the less well-off. The RUBACON Programme of Sustainable Development addresses the number one need of the economically deprived - meaningful employment.
