I was a member of the QA team for our Application Delivery Controller (ADC) product 'Virtual Traffic Manager' (vTM), working in an agile Scrum team.I have been responsible for testing new features, integrations, enhancements and upgrades. I have performed System, Integration, Regression, Smoke and Release Testing on multiple vTM versions.• Gained experience across several platforms (Linux, Solaris, vSphere, Azure, and AWS) in order to set up test environments.• Tested the ability to control and monitor the product remotely via its REST and SOAP APIs.• Performed complete regression testing when the base OS was upgraded from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, 14.04 LTS, 16.04 LTS and 18.04 LTS.• Performed complete regression testing for the product when DPA mode was added to vTM.• Various Integration testing.• Involved in customer escalation verification and patch verification.• Responsible for producing QA estimates, writing Test Plans, Test cases and execution of tests.• Manual web testing using various web browsers and web servers against vTM.• Involved in Bug triage and continuous improvement of QA processes.

Core Responsibilities, Technical Support and Testing (NMS).I provide phone, email and remote support to our NMS partners in the EMEA region and act as the focal point regarding technical issues and their resolution from root cause analysis to working with engineering teams in the US or India.I perform single vendor testing of new NMS software releases and patches in conjunction with the latest transmission equipment in our lab for Ciena's largest UK customer. This includes both regression and new feature testing. It includes weekly update meetings with the customer and performing testing with the customer's employees in our lab.Oftentimes, I have to determine through technical research and lab modelling, the root cause of customer difficulties and track the problems in our trouble-ticketing system.Interface with engineering to recreate, submit, test and resolve software defects. Often this requires setting up complex scenarios to re-create a customer fault so that we can prove that a fault has been fixed by a new release or patch.When required, I provide customer facing Professional Services (deployment, configuration, technical audits and documentation.)I create the documentation detailing installation procedures of our new software. These documents are focused specifically to the customer and provide full instructions for upgrading their machines in a live environment. They also have to be thoroughly tested in our lab model as part of the testing process.I am responsible for the maintenance of the server setups in our lab, and the client machines for other users. Also basic administration of our Citrix machine, radius and ldap servers.I have occasional customer site visits in order to install our software and/or guide an engineer in a procedure to install our new software or patch.

Core Responsibilities, Operational System Support (OSS).I provided NMS technical support, (incl. fault diagnosis and troubleshooting) with the aim of providing resolutions to customer problems, either by telephone assistance, remote diagnostics or on customer premises, as necessary.I had an active role on the Technical Support Helpdesk and the 24/7 Emergency Support Rota.I provided regular status updates for on-going problems, using NMS problem management systems and detailed status and technical reports as necessary.I acted as the interface between Customers and the Supplier's technical experts on escalated Technical issues.I Liaised with the Supplier's Customer interface personnel (e.g. Care Managers) on customer specific problems.I provided co-ordination of customer's Problem Reports, rectification and subsequent implementation of corrections.I took part in regular Technical/Operational review meetings with customers and suppliers.I provided support for complex technical activities such software upgrades, technical audits and technical / customer acceptance testing.I performed software and hardware maintenance activities such as installation & test of technical/change notes/change deliveries and new SW features/releases.I commissioned, installed and integrated HP, Nokia and Sun software products in a variety of distributed UNIX and PC environments from the testing lab to customer builds. Additional Responsibilities, Remote Integration Centre (RIC).I was also involved with RIC work. We were rolling out a broadband network on behalf of Alcatel from our NOC. I built the sites remotely and set up the testing environment, which the on-site engineer then used to perform his tests before we considered the site commissioned. I provided technical support to the on-site engineer when necessary including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.

Network Management Integration, Operational System Support (OSS).'Netcool for ServiceOn' is a joint venture project to integrate Marconi OSS Network Management products with Micromuse NM products. I was involved in developing a suite of tests for each probe to be tested and maintaining the computer networks.Installed and integrated HP, Marconi and Netcool software products in a variety of distributed UNIX and PC environments both for Product Test and System Proving. Tested the PFM probe and created user guides for service engineers.Taught installation processes and demonstrated the software's usage to test engineers at other sites and performed installations and demonstrations for Micromuse engineers.TeMIP Access Modules, OSS Department.TeMIP Access Modules enable the interworking of Marconi Network Management software with Compaq's TeMIP Network Management software.Day-to-day administration, installation and maintenance of the TeMIP systems.On-site installation and demonstration of our products to Netman (Compaq).Network Management software testing, OSS Dept.Secondment into a test team in Coventry.Involved in writing test specifications and running tests for the latest generation of WDM Network Management software for Marconi's Long Haul transmission equipment, in particular testing Marconi's Element Manager Software.
