This has lead to working with a number of leading manufacturers in their respective fields, not only for accessory components, but also with European machine manufacturers promoting, facilitating, and concluding capital sales equipment orders.These companies include Jakob Müller AG based in Switzerland, but with subsidiaries within the group based in Germany, the Czech Republic, and India, as well as Klieverik situatied in Holland, and Fabotex in Italy.As the UK Sales agent for these companies I am the link between customer and Principal assisting through the Sales cycle from initial contact, through any technical and commercial discussions, to order placement and fulfilment including machine delivery, installation, and aftersales and ongoing service. I started my time at Allertex working in their small but very busy spares department supplying parts and components for various types of equipment used in the production of textiles. At the time of joining they were still using indexing cards for stock records, and manual typing of invoices. One of my first tasks was to be an integral part of the computerisation of, not only the stock control activities and invoicing, but also the internal workflow and external communication of the business.… Show more I started my time at Allertex working in their small but very busy spares department supplying parts and components for various types of equipment used in the production of textiles. At the time of joining they were still using indexing cards for stock records, and manual typing of invoices. One of my first tasks was to be an integral part of the computerisation of, not only the stock control activities and invoicing, but also the internal workflow and external communication of the business. As part of this process, the stock turnaround improved from seven months to three, thus streamlining stock levels, maximising warehouse space, and aiding the cash flow of the company.My day to day duties included the receiving in of customer orders from a variety of methods including by telephone, fax, post, and eventually email, then processing these to create invoices and packing lists, which were then picked, packed and despatched. I also had to analyse stock levels and re-order as required to ensure smooth supply of parts as required.Part of the service to the customer was in helping them to identify the correct components needed through a mixture of consulting spare part catalogues, and liaising with the overseas machine manufacturers.This role required working to tight deadlines, time management, prioritising tasks, data analysis, customer relations, communication skills, a high work ethic, and problem solving.
