Key Responsibilities:• Provide high level in developing new product concepts, formulas and packaging that are globally viable within COG targets across categories• Take ownership of full product development on all projects• Develop and present concepts, packaging and ingredients to management and key retail partners that are on-brand, new, innovative, and will drive incremental sales.• Work to agreed critical paths with relevant stakeholders to ensure actions are achieved within deadlines and to hit launch date windows for retailer partners globally• Manage and track sample submissions and obtain approvals from management in-line with cost targets• Arrange and track internal user trials to collate sample feedback• Ensure specifications are updated and maintained at all times including briefs and trackers• Prepare clear and comprehensive copy and artwork briefs• Route and approve copy and artworks through with designers, including creating mock ups for internal review and approval• Build and maintain strong relationships with all third party stakeholders including suppliers, fragrance houses and buying team of key retail partner• Effectively and efficiently communicate with all internal and external parties• Prepare concept presentations and training sheets to share with the sales and marketing team and retailer partners for successful sell in of new concepts.• Set benchmarks, approve colour and print production and attend print runs to ensure quality is met• Manage, file and store retained samples• Provide regular competitor analysis and reports from shopping trips and trade fairs to identify emerging trends / ideas.• General NPD team administrative assistance including buying competitive samples

Looking to broaden my knowledge on the Chinese manufacturing world i was able to work with a sourcing company within the cosmetics industry. I was able to bring a western perspective on packaging and product design, as well as learning about raw materials, sourcing and componentry.
