His experience as an Airline Pilot gives him additional insight into the human factors aspect of avionics development, something he enjoys explaining to his coworkers. Paul has also worked on a variety of unmanned aircraft (UAS) developing systems and security architecture that will become more prevalent in the future. Paul’s journey as a civilian pilot began after his Navy career. He earned his pilot certificates at a local flight school and flew for Trans States Airlines as a reconnaissance pilot leading to his current position as a First Officer for JetBlue Airways. In the past, Paul has owned an aircraft and still enjoys flying with his family and colleagues at a local flying club.

After graduating from university, he became Naval Flight Officer (NFO) ultimately commanding missions aboard the S-3 Viking anti-submarine aircraft. Next was tour as a flight instructor teaching advance jet NFOs in Pensacola. After leaving Active Duty, he continued his career as a reserve officer serving in a variety of staff assignments. He had the opportunity to serve his country in Iraq and Afghanistan during a total of three mobilizations. He retired as a Commander in 2018. -
