Indianapolis Power & Light, Indianapolis, IN October 2009 – January 2010- Managed project staff to implement and validate custom software used to allocate MISO settlement charges according to local regulatory requirements and the OfferManager software product (used by the client to determine optimal energy and ancillary service offers to make into the MISO). Provided training to IPL business and technical users to support the use of the software. - Designed initial draft of a customized tool that would allow IPL to allocate wholesale and bilateral energy sales to relevant energy production costs based on a preferred prioritization schedule. Pacificorp Energy, Portland, OR June 2009 – September 2009- Designed and installed a customized method through which CAISO locational marginal prices, client’s energy and ancillary service awards, and settlement charges could be transferred from the nMarket energy portfolio management software product to the Endur risk management software product.- Provided training to OpenLink (Endur) consultants in CAISO market concepts to help them understand how the market data is used in the business of the client.

Iberdrola Renewables, Portland, OR September 2008 – May 2009- Implemented customized software functionality through which the designed allocation methods were automated and incorporated into Iberdrola’s business processes. Provided training to Iberdrola business and technical users to support the use of the software.- Provided ad hoc support to Iberdrola back office personnel for the CAISO, NEISO, NYISO, and PJM markets. This included helping the client personnel to understand the market fundamentals as well as the methods through which data could be procured and settlement charges could be validated.City of Anaheim, Anaheim, CA July 2007 – August 2008- Supported client through the CAISO transition from zonal to nodal pricing (MRTU). This included explaining how the new market structure would affect the client as well as helping the client to participate in the MRTU simulation/readiness exercises sponsored by the CAISO. Special emphasis was placed on the ability to re-calculate settlement charges using market data to validate the CAISO results. Presented issues found in MRTU simulation/readiness exercises to the CAISO on behalf of the client and followed them through to resolution. Also, provided specific training to the client related to the nodal pricing market and the effects of the client’s status as one of the few metered sub-systems and the treatment of its congestion credits in the CAISO. - Implemented the nMarket California energy portfolio management software product. Provided training to Anaheim business and technical users to support the use of the software. Assisted client in redesigning its business processes to incorporate nMarket and reduce the use of inefficient manual spreadsheets and other tools. Designed and implemented data reporting tools using an Access database-based tool to allow the client to present data in its preferred formats.
