As the Director of Industrial Programs, I'm responsible for the growth of Raycap's industrial vertical market. This market for Raycap includes renewables, oil & gas, OEMs, and the general construction market. My responsibilities include, but are not limited too, product development, training, business development, and direct sales.

After Emerson's acquisition of APT, my responsibilities grew to include all domestics sales for the construction bid market.Train, motivate and manage a team of four regional sales managers and a territory support team consisting of six sales reps and five admins.Develop and implement sales strategies and competitive measures.Work with team to develop high preforming sales offices.

Engineering Sales ManagerInitiate contact with specifying engineers to provide training/information on products, gaining approval in project bid specifications.Overcome product rejections and/or disapprovals through written and oral communication with specifying engineers, addressing engineers’ objections.Teach 1-hour online and 7-hour factory based seminars to professional engineers for continuing education credit.Travel to engineer and distributor locations to conduct workshops and sales presentations.Work in conjunction with the marketing department developing and executing marketing campaigns, product spec sheets and catalogs, website design and training videos.Work in conjunction with the engineering department on product design and development to ensure APT remains an industry leader in innovative surge protection technologies.Assist the sales group in day to day technical support.Provide guidance and strategy assistance to the sales group on how to efficiently work their territories and maximize time and effort.Manage the daily activates of a 3 person Engineering Sales team.Provide ongoing internal training to all departments. Promoted to Engineering Sales Manager within 2 years of employment.Engineering Labs Quality Manager Established and implemented the initial Engineering Labs Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 17025.Manage the Engineering Labs internal audit program.Coordinate Lab accreditation activities such as the UL DAP Program.Train Lab personnel on the QMS.Report on the performance of the QMS to senior management.Manage the Lab’s inter-laboratory proficiency testing program.Assist in ISO 9001 internal and external audits.Work in conjunction with manufacturing on work flow, non-conforming products, and root –cause analysis.Assigned additional job title and duties within 1 year, 6 months of employment.

Initiate and execute contact with potential clients and overcome technical and business objections during sales presentations. Research, analyze and prospect territories and capitalize on opportunities to increase market share. Continuously evaluate and participate in marketing strategies to produce the highest possible long-term market gain. Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the telemarketing team; including developing scripts and campaigns. Achieved 111% of target quota in 2006. Achieved 101% of target quota 2007 YTD. Employee of the Month twice in 2006 out of 25 employees. #1 Sales Representative of 9. Increased sales revenue for the company 12% from 2005 to 2006. Promoted to Senior Account Manager within first six months.
