About Paul Sarando

Full Stack R&D Software Engineer for CyVerse (formerly iPlant Collaborative) at the University of Arizona. Our team is developing the Discovery Environment, a distributed, service-oriented system for enabling collaborative scientific analysis and data sharing.I mainly focus on the User Interface implementation and design using React and next.js (previously implemented with the GXT framework), and the REST API (currently written in Clojure) that interfaces with many other micro-services written by our team (with either Clojure or Go) that interface with or manage PostgreSQL databases, an iRODS data store, and Docker containers running in either Kubernetes, the Open Science Grid (OSG), the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), or our internal HTCondor cluster.Before joining the iPlant Collaborative, I worked as a LAMP Enterprise Web Application developer using the Zend Framework, with an AJAX (XML and JSON) interface to an ExtJS front-end, and 3rd party software integration Web Services via SOAP.I was also a C application developer on Linux development environments for both embedded applications and web service integration.
