Experienced research chemist, research team leader, laboratory manager and lecturer in inorganic chemistry and photophysics. Working as a post-doctoral research chemist since 2014, I lead a small team of post-graduate researchers developing new photoactive molecules based on Earth-abundant, inexpensive and sustainable transition metal elements for use within new light-driven technologies. My research experience and practical skills lie across inorganic and organic synthesis, structural characterisation, photophysical analysis and electrochemistry. With multi-disciplinary research interests, I have had the privilege of working with leading chemists throughout the UK and Europe, being invited to speak at national and international conferences and scientific symposia and undertaking laboratory visits overseas. I currently serve as Secretary of the RSC Photophysics and Photochemistry Group and sit on the RSC Research Grants Peer Review Panel. I am currently the author/co-author of 31 publications, with a h-index of 16.
