Sole JDE Specialist working directly under IT VP. Responsible for all modules in JDE for this Manufacturing/Distributor company. Working with the latest version of JDE A9.3, latest version of DSI for warehouse guns. Whether it's Accounting, Receiving, Shipping, Customer Service, Purchasing, or Rental Department. Upgraded to latest version of DSI and put custom mods in. for Pick, Acks, W.O. Issues, Inventory Transfers, Receiving, PI Process, monthly accounting reporting, Customer Service mods, enhancements for Rental Dept.and so on.. In a nut shell, responsible for and provide services to everyone that uses or interfaces with JDE A9.3 software. Due to tremendous growth we moved to a new facility in Lawrence, MA in September of 2015..Added the ability to use RF guns to scan supplier labels and retrieve the X-Ref to the ASAHI part number for: Pick, Pack, Transfers, Receiving, W.O. Issues, and labels. Also, responsible for Log Pro or T & E Shipping System that is interfaced with JDE. Had a successful transition of people, systems and product to the new location.

Developer on the conversion from A6.1 to A7.3. Modified several programs to access the new file layouts. Contributor in getting Jennersville and Norian plants up and running on J. D. Edwards. Modified and maintained a forecast system that sent data down from JDE using DTS (Data Transformation Services) to a SQL server data base and created a DCOM component to upload the data back into JDE. This system was coded using Visual Basic. I also code in VBA and have done several uploads and download application using Client access as well as embedded DQB's in excel with prompting to and from JDE. Created using RPG a Product Recall system on the iSeries. Also code in ABAP using the knowledge I learned in 6 SAP certified courses: SAPTEC, ABAP Workbench Foundations, ABAP Objects, Programming ABAP reports, Developing screen-based user dialogs, and Data Dictionary. JDE (World Software) courses taken: Technical Foundation Cource, Purchasing Management, Sales Management, and KBG.Responsibilities are accross many areas, but main responsibilies are Procurement, Manufacturing, Product Data Management, Forecasting, and Regulatory.Wrote programs to: Feed JDE data into BI/BW, Forecast Template in Excel, Eval E-Mail Generator program that ESENDS E-Mails to sales Reps, program that transferred objects from one partiton to another which included: DWV's, V.O., UDC table entries, function key definitions, source code, files and menus, CIMS (Controlled Inventory Management), Created Master Budget for accounting based on processing many forecast template spreadsheets, and modified P.O. entry for faxing P.O's to suppliers. Main reports: Customized DRP, Forecast Delta, ICOFR, Eval Sales Analysis, Velocity, Physical Inventory Variance, and Scrap.

Created programs to communicate prices to the markets via TCP/IP connections to RS/6000 in each store with different POS (Point of Sale) systems (IBM 4680 and NCR 7000). Created programs to send employee information to the stores to support a Time & Attendance system. Then polled the data and created journal entries in the J.D. Edwards Payroll system. Learned, enhanced, and implemented a JDA Merchandising system (James D. Armstrong - JDA Software Group, Inc.) to send prices down to all the stores using RPG and BASS software. Modified JDA Costing, Pricing, Sales and AD utilities. Directly involved in strategic planning working directly under IT Director. Handled all analysis, design, coding, documentation, and end user support, through implementation. Prior titles were: Senior Programmer.

Converted Harris Data Financial systems software to the HCS system (Hospital Computer Systems). Worked with Software Plus Payroll system. Responsible for the generation, modification, and enhancements of the financial and payroll systems. All phases of analysis, design, coding, implementation and user support. Applications included: AR, AP, FA, & GL. Devereux was one of the beta sites for the AS/400. Coded in RPG on the IBM AS/400. Prior titles held were: Programmer/Operator, and Programmer.
