As Head of Tax for the North West I manage over 130 tax professionals split across the Liverpool and Manchester offices.In my other role as Head of International Tax and Transfer Pricing for the North of England, I work with UK businesses looking to expand overseas and foreign businesses looking to expand into the UK. With over 18 years’ experience within tax, I have expertise in the Controlled Foreign Company rules, supply chain planning, transfer pricing, cross border financing and tax efficient cash repatriation. Over the years I have helped a range of businesses setting up overseas in most countries in the world.I am known in the market place for being a pragmatic and, above all, commercial advisor who gives clear and comprehensible taxation advice. My reputation is that whilst being technically strong, I steer clear of complex solutions where simple ones will suffice.I have a Law and English degree from Cambridge. I am ACA qualified and was a national prize winner in the advanced case study. In my spare time, my interests include rock-climbing, yoga and mountaineering. I have an 11 year old son and a 9 stone Newfoundland. My wife and I live in Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire.
