I managed projects on behalf of Metronetrail. I was responsible for all works by the Developer that interface with the operational railway. I was responsible for the stakeholder management of the often complex projects. I ensured the co-ordinated technical Assurance of the submitted design and the conformity to the relevant Standards for all the new and altered Station Works. I provided design guidance and assistance through the project team to ensure the Developers design teams were able to meet the relevant standards for design and future maintenance. I managed the day to day on site works that interface with the operational railway with direct responsibility for procurement of works, scope, time, cost, quality and safety for all the programmed works. I managed the commissioning and handover process to the relevant London Underground Asset Engineers and then on to the maintainer for all the new or altered LUL works. I managed projects on behalf of London Underground PPP Contracts Implementation Team - Major Projects (Sub-Surface Lines). I was responsible for the control of performance, cost, programme, safety and quality in accordance with the various Development Agreements to ensure delivery of intended LUL business benefits and assets from the development as required by the Strategy & Service Delivery Project Sponsor and PPP Contract Director. I identified and managed the interfaces between the project and other ongoing London Underground Network activities. I managed the contractual interface between London Underground, the Developers and the Infrastructure Companies and ensured that the project complied with all London Underground Standards and industry regulations. I identified and implemented best practice, including value management and risk management techniques to safeguard LUL’s interest during the design and implementation of the developments. I ensured the co-ordinated Assurance of the submitted design and the conformity to the relevant Standards for all the new Station Works. I managed the day to day on site works that affected the operational railway. I managed the commissioning and handover process to the relevant London Underground Asset Engineers for all the new London Underground works.Project Description:• Fulham Broadway Development - A comprehensive re-development of Fulham Broadway Station, including; the construction of commercial and retail premises above and around the station, containing a new shopping mall and entrance to a new station ticket hall, ticket office and gate line; new passenger lifts and stairs to platforms; the addition of two new escape stairs from each platform; new control room, and ancillary accommodation; closure of the existing ticket hall and the conversion to commercial use. The existing platforms were covered over and as a result the station will became “Section 12” under the Fire Precautions (Sub-surface Railway Stations) Regulations 1989 during the project. This is only the second time that a station has changed from a non “Section 12” station to a “Section 12” station on the London Underground network within the current Engineering Standards. The station remained operational for the duration of the works. Project value: Development £ 95m. Station works £ 25.5m• Euston Square / Wellcome Trust Development. Station works £ 8m. • White City Development. A redevelopment of the White City area into a retail centre and low cost housing. As part of the planning permission for the development, a new station would be built on the Hammersmith and City Line as well as altering existing assets on the line to accommodate these works.
