An experienced, credible, commercially-focused finance professional with multi-sector international experience and excellent business related academic qualifications including a doctorate (Corporate Strategy), an MSc in Finance and an MBA (Distinction) from Warwick Business School. An extensive range of finance, management and strategy skills have been acquired working, both domestically and internationally, in dynamic large and small companies. Substantial international M&A experience - from identification/evaluation through due diligence to deal completion and post-acquisition integration – has been built through major projects in several countries. These skills are supported by highly effective interpersonal attributes - leadership, communication, stakeholder management and influencing - developed through management and participation in both finance and multi-disciplinary teams, providing expertise as a member of operational and executive boards and consultancy projects. Most recently, commercial experience and skills have underpinned an academic career at WBS teaching M&A, strategy and international management on world-class postgraduate programmes. Since 2019 has been a trustee of the Shakespeare Hospice; Chair since 2021, member of the HR Committee and Finance & Audit Committee. Became Treasurer and Trustee of the Municipal Charities of Stratford in 2022. A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Chartered Management Institute, since 2020 has been a mentor in both organisations mentoring programmes and since 2021 has been a volunteer with The Cranfield Trust which provides consultants to support not-for-profit organisations.
