I have been a senior IT Operations / Data Centre / Infrastructure manager for over 25 years. Working in such countries as Australia, England, New Zealand, Holland, USA and Ireland for such well known companies as Interactive, GE, IBM, EDS, Ferntree, Fujitsu, Kodak, State Bank of Victoria, BP, Visionstream, Medibank and Smorgon Steel.My areas of expertise are various, with a broad understanding of all IT platforms, together with many years of project and staff management, combined with an knowledge of how to utilise all of the IT management principles with an ability to produce innovative solutions.I have managed teams up to 80 and as few as 3. I have project managed all sizes of projects and have completed many computer centre relocations. Having worked on both sides of the outsourcing fence I have an enormous grasp of the requirements of both the customer and provider. I have an ability to lead and mentor staff. I enjoy presenting to senior management or peers and I have been asked to speak at the conferences both here and in the USA. My contacts within the IT industry are far and wide and I am respected by all that I know. I have been the subject of features in both Computerworld and The Age.Outside of IT I am involved within the pure breed dog show world, not only as a breeder and shower but also on various committees within different clubs. I am also on the board of trustees of the Canine Museum one of only 2 dog museums in the world.My wife and I are proud of the fact that we have owned various Royal Show breed winners and are well respected within the dog world, both here and overseas. I also produce a quarterly newsletter for the Mastiff Club that is held in great respect worldwide.
