During my time with WTW and predecessor organisations, I've been privileged to work on a range of projects with a broad range of clients and across multiple geographies. Selected experiences include:- Fulfilling the role of Chief Actuary (SMF20) on an outsourced basis for two UK life insurers. I am responsible for internal and external financial reporting and analyses, and contribute regularly to capital management, risk management, and strategic planning and implementation.- Supporting the Risk Function of a FTSE100 multinational insurance and banking group as they undertake a major restructure. Primary responsibility for the ORSA process, including defining scenarios for assessing risk exposures, as well as risk metrics and limits and how they will behave under structural changes.- Capital management for the UK arm of a major multinational insurer, with responsibility for all aspects of the shareholder balance sheet, including advising on bulk annuity transactions and investment opportunities, alongside developing capital projections and supporting the transition to Solvency II.- Coordinated and provided technical support to the embedded value review of a Dutch multinational undergoing an IPO process.- Extensive Solvency II related experience, including providing all Pillar 1, 2 and 3 actuarial support to a UK-based unit-linked pensions provider, developing the board reports explaining internal model calibrations and results for UK bulk annuity provider, developing the methodology and documentation for UK closed annuity business using standard formula, and advising a UK bulk annuity provider on how best to structure cross-border reinsurance transactions- Extensive experience of developing financial models for a variety of situations and products.
