Chief Technologist for the Australian Taxation Office account with DXC Technology

 Principal consultant on the ATO DWH modernisation strategic roadmap, leveraging HPE’s IP in BI Modernisation methodologies, to provide ATO a strategic roadmap  Led the resulting work to solution, deploy and provide ongoing support capability for multiple Enterprise Data Hub environments, as well as establishment of key capabilities around data replication and tactical offload of workload of the ATO’s Teradata system, as well as trialling new data encryption technologies to address ATO’s security needs around this platform Established new onshore Hadoop operational services in ANZ to support federal clients and growth from 4 to 8 FTE. Developed and supported key stakeholders in the development of a range of policies around governance, access, security for the new Enterprise Data Hub, as well as service catalogue definitions for the platform service Authored “HP Evaluation of Hadoop Distributions” to support ATO select a Hadoop platform Developed a flexible operational support model for ATO’s Enterprise Data Hub, as well as significant documentation on operational capabilities, as well as managing a variety of security assessments and treatment plans Played a wide range of roles, from Trusted Advisor, Practice Principal, Solution Architect, Sales Executive, Sales Solutioning, Engagement Leader, Delivery LeaderDuring this time I supported the local and global capability teams: Contributed repeatable security models, governance and access control models for Cloudera Hadoop back to HPE global capability teams Presented at HPE Discover 2016 in Las Vegas on advisory and analytic platform services Architecture development and socialisation for Information Governance modernisation at DSS Achieved top performing region in 2016 for HPE Analytics and Data Management practice with significant year on year growth Advisory service for other HPE clients such as Westpac, ANZ

HPE’s Department of Agriculture Account / Federal Government Industry Support of 3Yr contract renewal at Dept. Agriculture in 2014. Published a Public Case Study on Account turnaround and relationship with Department.  Established the strategy and solution for modernisation at Department of Agriculture, resulting in millions of dollars saved per day through outage reduction directly effecting Australian International trade. Performed Account Manager (interim) role, leading the refresh of HP’s entire account team to establish a new culture aligned to the Department’s new CIO. Established a new Applications development environment for Oracle Fusion Middleware to host the new applications developed by the Department. Built technology leadership culture within Account and wider HP to better meet client needs and better align to client needs. Technical / Solution Lead on tools modernisation program to effect a modern, integrated monitoring platform across Dept Agriculture enterprise with integration into Service Management toolsets. Contributed to multiple sales pursuits such as Department of Health, and Department of Human Services.

* 2012 Awarded "MVP" for Enterprise Services APJ region for sustained delivery excellence year on year.* Won "IT-as-a-Service" Leadership award @ 2011 vForum Sydney with VMware and TechTarget /SearchCIO Magazine.* Architected, sold, designed, implemented new developer self service capability trial for Australian Taxation Office deemed a critical success by the client.* Established the largest Global Datacentre Automation Program within HP for any single client, on schedule and under budget. * Established virtualisation capability for Australian Taxation Office, resulting in 70% wintel virtualisation or 3000+ managed VMs.* Managed the Virtualisation & Cloud Computing capability roadmap for HP's Australian Federal Government clients.

Project to migrate and virtualise 200+ applications, 1000+ servers to an ITIL managed environment. Established communication, control and reporting systems to reduce the PM resourcing by 75% while improving delivery and client satisfaction.Managed virtualisation project to establish 1500+ guests and 100+ hosts, achieved 54 server virtualisations/day and have 800 server conversions planned with minimal customer impact. Supported the commercial discussions around billing models, as well as ROI calculations.

Business Program Portfolio ($50M+ value), established budgetary and service delivery reporting tools, while building the delivery team.

Managed IT operations and support for telecommunications products. Established sales and support capability for ReefEdge Wireless Security products as reseller in Australia. Developed in house web based business tools supporting sister company Ecoquest Australia.

Migrated and established new Internet Point of Presence and hosting facility within first 2 months at new offices in Circular Quay. Managed operations of the hosting facility including hosting of the Greater Union and TVSN websites. Consulting to Ticketek to improve capability of queueing system for peak leads (eg Bledisloe Cup ticket launch). Architected and deployed solution for CocaCola Pins eCommerce site for Sydney 2000 Olympics.

Support and design improvements to Bigpond core and distribution networks. Deployed and established pilot services for secure peer to peer financial transaction trading network.
