Projects undertaken include:Market analysis of education systems examining the basic, higher and vocational systems and assessing countries needs and business opportunities for the British Council and other UK institutions. Providing insights into the ease of doing business and information on government funding available, leading to £1bn per annum in contracts identified.Analysis of teacher continuous professional development programmes, including market opportunity assessment, potential routes to market and analysis of the relevant laws and policies totalling £6m per annum in potential market.Assisted in the development of a new regional business strategy to deliver programmes which create value to the UK and countries we operate in and the programmes are aligned with the global vision of operating in four strands. Developing a new dashboard for senior management that incorporates data and analysis in order for managers to have an easier understanding of business in the region. Leading planning conference calls to explain to country heads of education the new regional planning process, plus following up to ensure the task was being undertaken.Contributing to the introductory chapter to the Grand Challenges in Asia-Pacific Education publication, aimed at promoting the British Council to leaders in the field of education.Ensuring the quality of research produced under the British Council brand in the region so that the British Council is regarded as a thought leader in education.Participating in Global Education Dialogues a regional conference series aimed at higher education leaders across the region and in the UK to promote sharing of best practice between the UK and international partners.
