    Responsible for the day-to-day repair and alignment on a wide variety of UHF/VHF communications equipment (mobile, portable, and base radios) used to relay train information, and maintain safe operation of locomotives. Perform software updates to communications packages using specialized software and a windows' based PC. I'm also required to update repair orders "incidents" via a software updating system. Responsible for properly documenting repair procedures, and troubleshooting steps used to resolve network failures. Knowledgeable in the use of specialized test equipment such as, Fluke Network Analyzer, Anritsu site master, IFR com 120b communications test set, and AM-44 transmission test set. Drive company vehicles to remotely located communications sites and perform troubleshooting and repair to restore service. Responsible for the timely Install of both voice and data communications packages in company vehicles. Maintain accurate records in regards to vehicle numbers, radio serial numbers, and radio id's for GPS enabled data radios used for tracking vehicle position.
