I am an honest, loyal and dedicated individual who has a great deal of ambition. I love to learn, and I am always looking for a challenge especially in the area of Telecommunications. I am a self-starter, strong team player, and possess a good understanding of large networks, network equipment, trouble isolation, equipment configurations, along with extensive experience in ATM and IP phone switches along with DSL, T1 and ISDN. While working with Bank of America I was responsible for 3 buildings and 450 people who relied on me for server, telephone and mainframe help. Also setting up and improving the LAN pilot program for Merlin which they still have in use.At Verizon I was responsible for the testing, and turning up of the first phase of FIOS which has become one the largest fiber projects in the USA. Training technicians from both coasts, enabling Verizon to in turn train new technicians to follow the footprint here in Texas.As a contractor for the FAA I am responsible for every step of communications from drawing up prints, to installing the PBX for sites all over the Midwest. This includes vendor meets and survey meetings with all phases of the project. In my current position I am responsible for ordering services for sites, and developing Telecommunications Requests, following the process until completion. This allows me to have communications with several entities including several LEC’s (vendors). My diverse knowledge of FAA applications,software and ability to apply the theories, concepts and principles of telecommunications make me a valuable asset for any company.My vast installation and troubleshooting knowledge along with my experience in the telecommunications industry I feel would enhance the production for any company who would offer me a position.I look forward to hearing from you.Paul Smith
