I am an enthusiastic, industrious, and high-achieving graduate, from the University of East Anglia, where I studied Philosophy and History (B.A.), graduating with a 2:1. My desire to keep challenging myself led me to the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Graduate program, where I am currently Assistant Manager at the Reading branch. This role has allowed me to incorporate key skills I have acquired during my time at university, such as the ability to quickly process large amounts of information and work effectively on tasks, whether that be as an individual or as part of a team, all whilst exercising initiative and an understanding of those around me. Furthermore, it has given me an opportunity to learn a completely new type of role in a business/sales sector, allowing me to exercise effective leadership, strong sales techniques, and exceptional customer services on a daily basis. I have a strong passion for my two degree subjects, history and philosophy, as well as general modern affairs and politics, all a culmination of understanding how and why the world works the way it does. I enjoy teaching others as well as continuing to learn from what others have to teach. Furthermore, I actively enjoy taking up new challenges, where I know I will be tested and where I will have to use initiative and take a lead.

Assistant ManagerEnterprise Jan 2020 - PresentVictoria, British Columbia, CanadaOn the Enterprise Graduate Management Trainee scheme, beyond making sure that customers receive nothing less than exceptional service, through being provided cars that are clean, safe, and fuelled, as well as through an efficient, friendly, and informative check-in process, this role actively teaches me about the runnings of a business and gives me the autonomy to play an ever-increasing role in how the business works. Decisions I make and take responsibility for will have wide-ranging impacts not only on my branch but the company at large, true responsibility which I thrive off. I am responsible for understanding cost control, reading my branch’s P&L statement, and understanding what it takes to run a profitable business.Further to this, dealing with such high-value assets has developed my underwriting and risk skills in a hands-on way where I must take ownership and be able to make the right decisions, in order to protect our assets. Being a good team player and clear communicator has also been a must in this line of work, where we truly are only as strong as our combined team. Maintaining relationships with external clients and vendors truly has developed my marketing skills, allowing me to change my approach to cater to different markets and customers. Finally, I work in an environment that actively gives me the opportunity to mentor, train, develop and manage staff of my own.In June 2021 I passed my MQI to become a Management Assistant and then in February 2022 I became Assistant Manager at the Enterprise Reading West branch. In September 2022 I transferred to Enteprise Victoria, BC, where I have been able to start a new challenge in a familiar role in a new market. -
