Managing Director at PTV UKI was the Managing Director for PTV UK, a subsidiary of PTV Group who develop transport modelling and logistics software. I held responsibilities for setting and delivering the UK commercial budgets relating to transport software sales and professional services. I was also responsible for developing the UK business strategy for growth and in particular for leading our business into the smart city arena with Big Data analytics, City Apps, Real Time modelling and autonomous vehicles. I also contribute to growing our logistics portfolio.I was also PTV’s Global Manager for Professional Services where I held operational responsibilities for setting out our growth strategy and delivering the global professional services budget. PTV takes its software very seriously and that its various applications are demonstrated in an exemplary manner. PTV’s Professional Service remit simply supports this by helping our customers and end user clients to deliver models of the highest quality. I oversaw all major Professional Services opportunities from within PTV as a Project Director for many of their lighthouse projects. In both roles I reported directly to the PTV Board and sits on PTV’s transport thought leadership group.

Paul, a Technical Director, manages WSP's transport modelling capability in London and across the UK. With over 20 years’ transport planning experience in the public and private sectors Paul has developed and shaped his business to one that covers the whole spectrum of transport modelling including Strategic Land Use and Multi-Modal Four-Stage Demand models, Micro-Simulation, Junction Modelling and Pedestrian Modelling. He advises clients on many aspects of transport planning from survey planning, data collection and analysis, model development and validation, forecasting, strategy development and evaluation and policy formulation. Paul is also responsible for delivering WSP’s Modelling Best Practice Guides ensuring consistent and up to date methodologies and practices are adopted across the company.He has experience and knowledge of a wide range of modelling software and has experience of working on overseas projects in the Middle East, India, Azerbaijan, Sweden, Portugal, Australia and the Republic of Ireland.Key Skills/Achievements include: Model Auditing / Method Statements;  Integrated Transport Studies helping to shape policy; Developer Transport Studies to secure planning consents; Micro-Simulation pushing the boundaries of what conventional tools offer by leading the development of bespoke and innovative solutions;  Pedestrian Modelling; Paul heads up WSP’s global offer of pedestrian modelling covering public transport interchanges, airports, stadiums and arenas rail stations and tall buildings;Paul is focused on delivering technical excellence within his field as demonstrated by papers presented at several conferences here in the UK, Germany and France covering a range of transport modelling solutions including demand modelling, micro-simulation, traffic signal engineering and pedestrian flow analysis demonstrating the full breadth of his skills.

Transport modeller specialising in SATURN delivering developer led studies and policy making models. Pioneered the use of VISSIM within the company in the late 1990's paving the way for its introduction across the UK business. Highlights included 2.5 years as the lead transport and micro-simulation modeller on the Heathrow Terminal 5 project team helping to secure Detailed Planning Consent prior to its construction.

Developed my QVIEW and SATURN skills and create my basic understanding of building tranport models to evidentially support policy frameworks.
