I led a team of 9 Consultants and Analysts with responsibility for driving the Continuous Improvement agenda across Quilter. This was achieved through a blend of project delivery, training and coaching activities.As a member of the Operational leadership team, I worked with senior stakeholders to manage and prioritise our pipeline of improvement projects, in line with the needs of the business.I also successfully utilised a Lean secondment programme to support the development of future business leaders. Successful candidates joined my team for a period of 12 months, during which time they received extensive training and coaching from experienced team members, concluding with their successful accreditation as Advanced Lean Practitioners (LCS level 1c).

As a Lead Lean Consultant I was responsible for scoping and delivering improvement projects across a number of business functions, including Finance, HR, Business Change and Operations.During this time I led the Lean programme for Old Mutual International on the Isle of Man for a period of 2 years. This included the recruitment and development of an internal team and the delivery of projects focused on quality and service improvements.I also oversaw the development of our internal Lean training system, culminating in our successful accreditation through Cardiff University's Lean Competency System (LCS) at levels 1a, 1b and 1c.

Recruited to the newly created position of Continuous Improvement Engineer, I was responsible for introducing and driving a Continuous Improvement culture across the site.During my time with MacDermid Autotype I was also fortunate to be sponsored to undertake a 2 year part-time MSc in Lean Operations at Cardiff University.To support the development of a CI culture I developed and delivered a range of training modules on topics such as problem solving, value & waste analysis, 5S, visual management and quick changeover.

A member of the Change Management team, I was responsible for implementing and driving improvement projects aligned to the Delphi Manufacturing System (based on TPS) and site objectives.I completed comprehensive internal Lean training structured around the Delphi Manufacturing System.I delivered a number of Manufacturing System Design projects to support the introduction of new manufacturing cells, the objective being to ensure new cells were implemented in line with Lean principles from the outset. These projects included the use of a range of tools, including Value Stream Mapping, Lean layout design, machine and operator balance analysis and standard operations.
