Liaising with clients advising them in respect of traffic management issues and preparing traffic management plans, overseeing the company CSAS administrative processes which includes liaising with the various police forces accross the region. I also act as the Deputy Safety Officer at Exeter & Wincanton Racecourses.

Work as part of a team providing crowd safety and hospitality, I have completed both my NVQ 2 & NVQ3 in Crowd Safety.

I have managed the Park & Ride Car Parks for the Bournemouth Air Festival and subsequently the Wheels Festival as well. This work includes attending advance planning meeting throughout the year recruiting and briefing staff to work at the car parks. During the event I attend the daily management meetings liaise closely with the bus company and supervise up to 30 staff working at three sites accross Bournemouth.

Working closely with ACPO accredited alarm companies to ensure that monitored alarms installed in both domestic and commercial premises are responded to by the police.

Working to a Police Commander I am responsible for planning the police response to major events such as Olympic Torch Relay , Bournemouth Air Festival, Great Dorset Steam Fair and other large scale licensed events across the County of Dorset. In addition I represent Police at multi-agency Safety Advisory Group meetings, advising events organisers to ensure their event is safe. I have prepared and delivered multi-agency table top exercises designed to test operational and contingency plans for major events. I have also provided logistical support to large scale policing operations.I have completed the NPIA operational planners course as well as the Policing Events course, I am also a trained police loggist, fire warden and first aid trained.I retired from the Police Service in July 2013 after 30 years service and have continued to be involved in the management and planning of events.

I was a front line patrol officer working in both urban and rural areas of Dorset and dealing with a range of response and community work. During this time I also spent some time on CID and worked in the custody unit. I left this role to join the force contingency planning department.
