Project ExperienceCommunications Security Establishment Canada (CSEC), Ottawa, ON Long-Term Accommodation Project (LTA)The Long-Term Accommodation Project (LTA) is the second phase of the CSEC accommodation plan. This new purpose-built facility will be comprised of office space and special purpose space. The LTA is a four-year project. The major construction phases include the completion of the parking garage in late 2011, north-west wing of the main building by May 2012, south wing by November 2012, main building exterior envelope by August 2013, and final landscaping by November 2014. The construction of the facility will result in the creation of 4000-5000 jobs in the Ottawa area.Queen’s University, – Kingston, ON Phase 1 of the Queen’s Centre project called for four buildings on the campus of Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. An aquatic center, a varsity gymnasium, fitness and weight center, classrooms, lab spaces, and lecture theatres were all included in this largely Construction Management contract.Ottawa University – Ottawa, ON Complete renovation for Vanier and Social building. For Vanier Building, we have completed six floors renovations, moved main data centre for campus, new lighting, distribution, and fire alarm systems. For Social Science Building, new 16 floors tower including all systems, relocated the main data centre to the new Social Science building.Ottawa Congress Centre – Ottawa, ON This redevelopment program consisted of the demolition of an existing facility, and the design and construction of a new one in the heart of Canada’s Capital. The facility is a Tier II convention center, providing a total area of 365,973 square feet, with 215,278 square feet of rentable meeting and convention space. The new convention center achieved LEED Gold certification.

Responsible for the operation of Boldt Electric. Boldt is a medium size company with yearly revenues around 3 to 6 Million dollars. Responsibilities included; overseeing estimating, purchasing, project management, safety responsibilities, and working as head of a team of up to 30 qualified electrical installers.

Responsible for project management of up to $16 million dollars for a select group of High-Tech customers and builders. Working as head of a team of up to 80 qualified electrical installers. Estimating, purchasing, project management and quality and safety responsibilities.

Responsible for establishing the corporate business vision to make ComSignal the industry leader. Achieved this by providing clients with quality workmanship, on time delivery, and outstanding customer service in the engineering, installation, and maintenance of their telecommunications cabling and equipment needs. Started the company with three people and grew to 25 people by increasing sales from $3,500.00 to $200,000.00 per month over a 7 month period.

Responsible for sales, estimating, purchasing, and operations of all related electrical and communication projects. Started communication division and within the first 10 months of operation had revenue of one million three hundred thousand dollars. Achieved a gross margin of 43% in a market which averages a gross margin of 10%.

Responsible for electrical project estimating, tender submission, and purchasing of materials for major projects. Total revenue for this period of time was twelve million dollars.
