I am currently working at Christmas Creek Minesite contracting to FMG Fortescue Metals Group, supplying a conventional load and haul mining service utilising Downer & client-owned equipment. Responsible for overseeing a large fleet of Excavators ranging from 250 - 800 tonne. Manufacturers include Liebherr, Komatsu and Hitachi Excavators. Also responsible for supervising a large fleet of Caterpillar SKSS-16 & SKSW, Atlas Copco PV-235 & 271, Sandvik DR 580 Drill rigs. Other responsibilities (but not limited to) include planning and scheduling of maintenance events, research and development of component strategies and cost-effective defect management ensuring reliability to meet a 90% availability KPI — development of safe work instructions ensuring a safe work environment to provide a zero harm workplace. My role also involves continuous client relations to ensure our client's needs are met in all areas.

• Providing leadership to the maintenance crews to achieve the overall maintenance plan.• Work to priorities as advised by Maintenance Superintendents.• Provide regular priority machine status updates.• Conduct employee safety engagements. department key performance indicators.• Ensure quality of workmanship through regular routine inspections • Ensure compliance to maintenance plan working closely with production supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities and fleet movements.• Monitor MTBUPS and MTFS After PM events to ensure reliability.• Make suggestions and participate in continuous improvement activities and provide technical knowledge to improve plant efficiency. • Communicate shift performance and other relevant company information to crew.• Conduct pre shift meetings, shift handovers and return to work presentations maintaining a positive open line of communication providing regular feedback on issues communicated by personnel. Track crew performance and ensure daily issues concerning people, plant and process are dealt with.• Manage wages personnel timesheets, Leave forms and work scope feedback to ensure prompt submission and accuracy of content.• Ensure thorough knowledge of prevailing policies, procedures and systems of work.• Ensure component change outs, commissioning and all repairs are carried out as per OEM procedures and industry standard.. Component details are recorded and dispatched in a timely manner• Provide technical advice and support to tradespersons and other maintenance employees on repairs and servicing work.• Ensure correct parts, tooling and materials needed for the safe completion of work is ordered and onsite in a timely manner.• Assist Maintenance Foreman to assign employees to specific allocated tasks to ensure appropriate prioritisation has been appointed • Monitor work and safety of all employees and subcontractors and report concerns to Maintenance Superintendent.
