Designing, building, delivering, and maintainging custom, integrated applications (Django, AWS) for in-house use with staff management, timekeeping, and billing. Processing use cases into custom software solutions which integrate numerous network management APIs to solve regulatory and operational problems in client environments.

At Money Positive I have built a web app to streamline financial planning and to act as a single interface for clients to supply data for their planner. Apart from visual design I carried this project from requirements gathering to delivery singlehandedly. In building this application I have become adept in every aspect of web programming: design, development, deployment, and devops. Inasmuch as Money Positive is not a software company we do not have an extensive budget for software development, as such I have focused much of my effort on providing a robust deployment that doesn't require constant maintenance and has automated deployment. The strong focus on Devops has allowed me to use my development time as effectively as possible.

As a Founder and CTO of Reconna I direct software design and development for our SaaS monitoring and automation product, Sense. Leading a small team of developers I carried the product through many revisions on the drawing board, through POC development, and finally into maturity as a multi-tenant elastic cloud platform. Throughout the process I honed my expertise in Django (along with DRF and Celery), continuous integration and delivery (both with Jenkins and Gitlab CI), Amazon Web Services (organizational admin as well as the services themselves), Kubernetes, microservice based architecture, and team leadership.

As an automation engineer I was responsible for providing highly customized automation within IPcenter for our enterprise clients. The scope of automation was highly variable, covering Windows, Linux/Unix, Network Appliances, in addition to Hypervisors. Given the breadth of scope I had to be fluent in many technologies and adept at finding and reading API documentation. In addition to client-focused automation development I also spearheaded internal development of a framework for easing automation deployment and delivery. This framework successfully reduced baseline automation deployment time from weeks of manual labor to just under one hour. Additionally, the tooling of the framework facilitated automation delivery, greatly reducing the complexity of any given automation and brought automation development into closer alignment with the "Don't Repeat Yourself" principle.
