We, at BEES, are singularly focused on accelerating the uptake of bioenergy in a world where bioenergy stands for displacing fossil fuels, reducing CO2 emissions and sequestering atmospheric carbon from our daily lives - so that life goes on.At the forefront of our minds and of primary importance is the need to implement solutions today that will limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels, ensuring that we turn away from the threat of extreme, beyond the tipping point climate change - so that life goes on.For this simple reason then, it is crucial that we make and invest in the right choices now to have a chance to meet the required CO2 emission reduction and carbon sequestration targets. The IPCC’s forecasts state that we have until just 2030 to act in order to achieve net zero CO2 emissions globally by 2050. This imperative then defines a key part of our role, as we see it, which is to reach out and engage with the entire global bioenergy community - today’s solution providers and tomorrow’s new kids on the block - and to bring them to Bio360, our flag ship international event.
